Her other 2 sons were Roland (born aug1913) and Francis (born March 1915). Francis was father of Valerie Budd who lives at Woodland, Crowfield. They all lived at Orchard House
Violetta was born in Crowfield in 1878.
Her father was Leonard Payne who was also born in Crowfield in 1857.
This branch of the Paynes family can trace its roots in Crowfield to the 1600's.
Violetta's husband (a reservist) was one of the first killed in the first world war in 1914 .
She moved to Syresham at the end of the war.
