Karitza Cottage 1920's |

Maria Cockerill and her daughter Dora in the garden of her cottage in the 1920's between Karitza and the farm looking back at Karitza. At this time Karitza was only half the width it is today and had a thatched roof.
The big black barn was there up until the restoration on the 1950's and was used as a store of wood and later coal. Dora was still in mourning even though her husband John had died in 1910.
Maria's cottage had been previuosly been lived in by Joshua Wooton and his wife
